Dr. Vijay Raghava Hegde
MBBS from Mysore Medical College
Born on 4th June 1944 in Karkala, Dr. Vijayraghava Hegde is the son of Mr. Girianna Shetty and Mrs. Abakka Shetty. He completed his schooling at Board High School, Karkala, and pursued higher studies at Bhuvanendra College, Karkala. He earned his MBBS from Mysore Medical College. In 1976, he moved to Mumbai, working briefly as a Medical Officer at Cooper Hospital. Since 1977, he has been serving the community of Kanjurmarg through his private medical practice — now in its 48th year and continuing. Dr. Hegde was married to the late Mrs. Jyothy V. Hegde and is blessed with two sons: Mr. Viraj Hegde, a partner at The Diamond Factory, and Dr. Verdith Hegde, an ophthalmologist practicing in Kanjurmarg.
